Hotel Policies

Check In/Checkout for hotel guests: Villa Barbara’s check in time is 14:00, and check out time is before 12 noon. The hotel will make every effort to personalize our guests’ stays if provided ETA information at time of reservation. Late checkout requests may be made through the front desk only, and are subject to determination based on hotel occupancy. Additional charges may apply.

Cancellation Policy:
“Non Refundable Tariff”
Due to discounted price, all confirmed reservations under this tariff are charged 100% and are not refundable. The price discount and promotional codes, are considered Non Refundable Tarriff.
“Standard Tariff”
All other confirmed reservations not cancelled at least 7 days prior to arrival will be the responsibility of the traveller. Cancellations received within the 7 days period or a “no show” will incur one night’s room and tax charge to be assessed to the credit card on file. Please provide notice of cancellation before specified time to avoid a penalty of one night’s room & tax.

No refund will be given if the guest stays less days after the check-in was done.

The Hotel may cancel the stay if the guest refuse to provide information required to do the check-in; do not pay the stay; allows overnight any visitor who is not a guest of the Hotel; smokes in interior of hotel, vandalizes equipment/facilities, or breaks any other  Hotel’s rules  and does any of the prohibited acts thereunder.

Deposit/Guarantee: All reservations must be guaranteed for arrival by first night room deposit, guaranteed with a major credit card with expiration date. The hotel does not charge the card on file unless the reservation is cancelled within the specified above period noted, or a “no show.” The hotel will not hold any reservation unless secured by the above methods. Upon check in guests may use another form of acceptable payment for their accommodations.
Reservations guaranteed by a credit or debit card will be pre-authorized for guests stay one week before arrival. If guest’s method of guarantee does not accept the pre-authorization, we will charge the amount.

Cleaning Services: Hotel offers room cleaning 4 times per week, once in two days. Bed linen change is once per week. Towels are changed on room cleaning, if it is required by guests.

Breakfast: The hotel offers basic buffet breakfast, which is paid separately. The breakfast is served from 08:30 until 10:00. The breakfast offered by the hotel shall be consumed at the areas designated by the hotel.

Privacy: Hotel management/staff does have the right to enter your room to clean or perform necessary maintenance. If you don’t want to be disturbed for cleaning or not urgent maintenances, please use the sign “Do not disturb” on outside door handle. In the case of any emergency, noise which disturbs other guests, illegal activities, the management/staff does have the right to enter your room even the sign is used.

Smoking Policy: Villa Barbara allows smoking only on room’s terraces and Lobby bar terrace. Should it be determined that smoking has taken place in a guestroom, the hotel will charge a €50.00 cleaning fee, placed on the guest folio before or after check-out.

Pet Policy: Service animals are allowed only previously agreed by in written by hotel.

Third and Extra Person Fee: Rooms are supposed to be and rates are listed for single / double / triple /quadruple occupancy. Additional adults sharing a room will incur a charge of 10€ per night, per person in low season and 15€ per night per person in high season (June-July-August-September). Visitors cannot stay overnight without to be registered at the reception desk.

Children’s Policy: Children 3 and under are free if using existing bedding.  Cribs are complimentary; please inform us before arrival if you need one.

Tax, Fee & Service: 10% VAT tax is included in price. Tourism Improvement fee is not included in price and is calculated on check in depending of the period and age of tourist.

Guest´s liability: The Hotel shall have the right to claim to the guest for compensation for any damage incurred arising from or in connection with wilfulness or negligence on the part of the guest or invitees visitors.

It is agreed that the guest (or visitors) will conduct him/ her in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premise.

The Management has the right to request any guest to vacate his/her room or other areas of the hotel forthwith , without previous notice and without assigning any reason whatsoever, and the guest shall be bound to vacate when requested to do so. In case of the default the Management has the right to remove the guest luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him / her.

Guest’s Belongings: Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when going out or going to bed. For the convenience of the guest, safety lockers are provided in the room to store any valuables.

The Management will not in any way whatsoever be responsible for any loss / or damage to the guest’s belongings or any other property from either the hotel room or the locker or any other part of the hotel for any cause whatsoever including theft of pilferage.

Minimum Age Requirements: All guests must be 18 years or older to confirm guestroom accommodations at Villa Barbara. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification.
